House fire in Newtown. Crews say one man transported to the hospital with burn injuries
Connecticut State Police say they are investigating an armed robbery that occurred this morning in Durham. As we told you First on FOX61, about 7:30 Sunday morning a man entered the Fas Mart/Valero gas station on Main Street in Durham, showed a knife, and robbed the store of an undisclosed amount of cash.
Emergency crews responded to a tractor-trailer accident that closed the northbound lanes on I-95 in Milford Sunday. The crash happened around 10:50 p.m. in the area of Exit 35.
Police are searching for a prison inmate who they think escaped Sunday. Enfield Police confirmed that they are on the lookout for an unaccounted prisoner in the area. The prisoner was missing from Carl Robinson Correctional Institute, 285 Shaker Rd.
An 18-year-old female was rushed to the hospital by Lifestar medical helicopter after police said she crashed in Windham early Saturday morning. Windham resident Shania Slyman was driving her 2009 Honda Civic westbound on Plains Road around 12:45 a.m. when police said she went off the road and down onto a snow embankment.
Torrington police are asking for the public’s help in finding Shalyiah Rodriguez, 16, who went missing last month. Police said Rodriguez was last seen on December 5, and has been in verbal contact with family members stating that she is safe. But police said they need to make in-person contact with her to make sure she is safe.
A Hamden officer was arrested after police said he assaulted a suspect in North Haven last month. The North Haven Police Department was investigating a burglary and harassment complaint at 4 Phillip Place around 11:45 a.m. on Dec. 31.
Firefighters battled a house fire in Woodbridge on Friday evening. The fire was reported at a home on Inwood Road at 5:30 p.m. Authorities said everyone got out safely and no one was injured
Hartford Police are investigating a fatal shooting on Bushnell Street in the city. A man was found shortly before 7 o’clock Thursday evening , in the snow, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to the torso and neck.

Friends and family continue to mourn the loss of Norris Jackson III, who was shot during an altercation at the Bonchon Restaurant in Manchester. “He was a good person, he was about his kids,” described Taniesha Pierce, a friend of Jackson. “He loved his kids. He was friendly, no problem, no drama, nice to everybody.”
One man is dead and another is in critical condition after a shooting in New Haven Tuesday night. The shooting happened on Wadley Street and it's the first homicide of the year in the city.

45-year-old man is facing criminal charges after police said they seized guns, ammunition, drugs and cash from a home. State police said on May 20, they were notified of suspicious activity of high volume vehicle traffic that was consistent with the sale of narcotics coming a from a single family home located on Main Street in Burlington.
The victim of Saturday's shooting at the Bonchon restaurant on Pleasant Valley Road in Manchester died Sunday night, according to Manchester Police. Police said that the victim, now identified as 36 year old Norris Jackson of East Hartford, was gunned down inside the restaurant while he was at work.
Police are investigating a two car crash Monday afternoon, that has put two people in the hospital with serious injuries. Officers from the towns around the Gold Star Highway at the intersection of Flanders road for a two car crash.

State Police say a truck driver had been killed after a crash in Somers. The truck, driven by Chad Mason, 42, of Stafford Stafford springs, was traveling west on Main Street/Route 190. The truck then traveled off the left side of the road, striking wire rope guard rails, a utility poles, and several trees.
Crews battled a fire overnight on Kickapoo Road in Middlefield. The fire was still burning early Friday morning after starting Thursday night. The State Fire Marshal’s office on scene, but crews are unable to enter the house due to the smokey conditions. The interior had collapsed.

New Haven, Connecticut shooting at 300 block of Poplar St: 1 injured
Dozens of horses have died after a fire at Folly Farm in Simsbury on Thursday morning, authorities said. The deputy fire told Channel 3 the fire was concentrated to the barn/stalls where the horses live on Hartford Road around 6:45 a.m. None of the horses were able to make it out of the barns, authorities said.
A man from Stamford and a Norwalk police officer have both been hospitalized following a violent arrest. It happened on New Canaan Avenue.
