Police in Norwalk have made an arrest in a deadly hit-and-run back in September. Darlene Moody turned herself into police Sunday and will be arraigned this afternoon. According to police, Archie Hilliard, 65, was found lying in the street at the intersection of Martin Luther King Drive and Lowe Street after being hit.
Kent: Connecticut State Police have identified the person killed in a shooting. Authorities responded to the shooting at a home around 6 p.m. Friday. Police say 30-year-old Andre Edness died from a gunshot wound. State troopers said Sunday they are waiting for the results of the man’s autopsy by the state medical examiner’s office to determine the cause and manner of death.

Bloomfield: Police say they are investigating a suspicious death after they found someone laying on the side of the road. Just after midnight, they were called to the area of 326 Cottage Grove Road. When officers arrived, they found an elderly man laying by the north curb-line of the residential part of the roadway. The man was unresponsive.

Willimantic: Police say they are on the lookout for a suspect following an armed robbery. Around 12:45 a.m., police say patrol officers responded to an armed robbery at the Jeens Market (convenience store on Main Street in Willimantic.
Police arrested a woman after they said she threw a dog against a wall. Police arrested Lindsay Anderson, 25, of Glastonbury on November 14 and charged her with cruelty to animals. She is expected to appear in GA 12, Manchester court on Wednesday.
Waterbury: A pedestrian was struck and killed Sunday afternoon. According to police, the crash happened 462 West Main Street around 4 p.m. The driver remained on scene. Police said it was an older man who was struck.

Police responded to River Road for a report of a dead body found in the woods. Police said that they got calls for what they are calling an untimely death at around 1:40 p.m. Detectives from the Eastern District Major Crime responded to the scene and now lead the investigation.

Waterbury: Police said they are investigating a double fatal crash. The crash happened around midnight near 560 Wolcott Street. Police said when they arrived, they found two people from the car dead. The two men were identified as Clarence Lewis, 22, and Antonio Joseph Santos, 20, according to police

A firefighter was injured Monday in a blaze that destroyed a home on Garvin Road, officials said. About 23 firefighters, along with police and ambulances, responded to the fully-involved fire at 220 Garvin Road Monday afternoon.
Hartford: police say they are investigating a stabbing that happened on Capitol Avenue in Hartford. Police say that around 2 a.m., a 39-year-old was found by police with a stab wound in the left on Capitol Avenue near Oak Street (just off the I-84 ramp).
One person has died due to injuries suffered in a house fire on Saturday night in Stratford. Crews were called to battle a fire on Melville Street, officials said.
Rocky Hill: Connecticut State Police Major Crime detectives are investigating a suspicious death at the Residence Inn in Rocky Hill. Hartford: police said they are investigating two separate incidents regarding possible attempted abductions near an elementary school. Hartford police said the incidents occurred in the area of E.B. Kennelly School during bus pick-ups and drop-offs.
