Farmington Police are investigating a bicyclist struck by a car on Tuesday evening. Police said around 9:45 p.m., crews responded to Route 177 at the intersection of Morea Road for a bicyclist hit by a car.

A police chase on Interstate 84 in Newtown ended with a crash.
An overnight fire ripped though an East Berlin home. Around 1:30 a.m., multiple calls came in reporting the fire at 54 Sun Meadow Drive. About 50-60 firefighters were called in, including mutual aid. When crews arrived, they found three people outside of the home. They were taken to the hospital for evaluation.

Woman identified in Groton untimely death
A fire in Middletown killed one person, and left two firefighters injured. The fire broke out around 12:45 a.m. Monday at 8 Millbrook Road. When crews arrived, they saw heavy smoke, but the fire was put out fairly quick.
Police are investigating an untimely death from Friday morning that happened at a Ramada Inn. At 7:24 a.m. police responded to the Inn on calls of a person not breathing. Officers and EMS found the woman and was declared dead at the scene by EMS workers.
State Troopers are investigating a suspicious death in a East Haddam neighborhood that happened Friday night. Police said they responded to North Moodus Road around 5:20 p.m. Detectives from Eastern Major Crime also responded and have taken charge of the investigation.
A man is in police custody following an alleged robbery at local Dunkin’ Donuts early Saturday morning. Around 6:15 a.m., State Troopers responded to a call of a robbery at the Dunkin’ Donuts on Route 6. A store employee told police that Wayne Squier, 35, entered the store and selected some items.
The Duxbury man accused of impersonating a federal agent and stockpiling weapons is facing new charges. Police in Connecticut arrested Christopher Barlow this week.

Police are investigating a shooting that left a man dead Monday. Lt. Chief Brian Foley confirmed the incident on Westland and Garden Streets was a homicide. Police said the man was shot in the stomach multiple times and was pronounced dead at St. Francis Hospital.

Crews responded to a fire at a single-family home in Meriden early on Monday morning. The fire started around 12:30 a.m. at a house on Converse Avenue, according to a fire official.
