One person was found dead after a house fire in Griswold on Wednesday morning, state police said. Firefighters were called to a "fully-involved house fire" at 70 Kenwood Estates around 5:15 a.m. The fire chief said no firefighters were injured
Plainfield police said the shooting threat that prompted residents to find shelter in place, is over. State police said around 3:15 p.m., members of the Plainfield Police Department were dispatched to the area of Deibler Lane at its intersection with Black Hill Road in the Central Village section of Plainfield for a reported male with a firearm.
One person was injured in a house fire late Tuesday night. One woman was injured in the fire at 38 Colony St. Police officers arriving on the scene were able to pull the victim out of the home. The woman is listed in critical conditions.

A 49-year-old man was taken to the hospital after police said he was struck by a motor vehicle in Bloomfield on Tuesday morning. The unidentified South Windsor man was hit by a vehicle in the area of 1415 Blue Hills Ave. around 6:15 a.m.
Police have made an arrest in a homicide that happened in September 2016. According to New Haven Police, 31-year old Levern Bellamy was shot along Dorman Street on September 21, 2016.
